Iiris Puustinen (she/her b. 2000) is Finnish dance artist, choreographer and performer based in Helsinki and Copenhagen.
She graduated with a BFA in dance from The Theatre Academy of The University of The Arts Helsinki in 2023, having completed part of the studies at The Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen.
Her work as a contemporary dance maker and choreographer is rooted in the interest of exploring social and psychological phenomena, identity, and the gaze. It draws inspiration from popular culture and reveals her broad movement background in jazz, street and commercial dance.
Iiris was one of the artists featured in Amos Rex Museum's Generation 2023-exhibition and her debut choreographies have been presented at exhibitions and festivals in Finland and France.
In the recent years she has worked internationally with choreographers and dance companies such as Ima Iduozee (FI), Svalholm (DK), Klevis Elmazaj (NL) and The Nordic Beasts (DK), taken part in various large stage productions such as Don Giovanni and The Ostrobothnians at The Finnish National Opera, West Side Story at Savoy Theatre and performed in events like Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Within the commercial field she has performed in arena concerts, festivals and on TV productions with Finland’s leading artists such as Isac Elliot, Mikael Gabriel, Evelina and Krista Siegfrieds.
