Still we play it is a solo performance by Iiris Puustinen, combining contemporary dance and performance art. The performance premiered as part of Avis de tempête Raccords festival in Paris in 2025 and the updated version of the performance will be presented in Suvilahti, Helsinki in May 2026.
Still we play it portrays a person in the process of emotional repair after the loss of a relationship. The performer finds solace in everyday objects, the surrounding sound and repetition. In this performance inner and outer instability, sculpture like compositions, urge to move, desire to turn inwards, urge to disappear and desire to be seen walks hand in hand. The performance uses the body as a medium to research vulnerability, mental imbalance and inner and outer gaze on a personal and societal level.
Choreography and performance Iiris Puustinen

Helsinki-based Maria Kata gets her daily inspiration from music that feeds her stream of consciousness and imagination. Inspired by the dualities of life, she builds sets that move move through various tempos and textures with a focus on tripped-out and immersive musical journeys. Her hazy sonic trips and powerful shadowy dancefloor sets are heard in the city’s underground, it’s well-established clubs such as Kaiku and Post Bar and on her bi-monthly radio show Fluorescense at IDA radio Helsinki.
