"Still we play it" portrays a person in the process of emotional repair after the loss of a significant relationship, revealing a moment of vulnerability and disorder.
The performer finds solace in everyday objects, the surrounding sound and repetition. In this performance inner and outer instability, sculpture-like compositions, urge to move, desire to turn inwards, urge to disappear and desire to be seen walks hand in hand.
The performance is created using elements and tools of contemporary dance and performance art.

3,2,1 (The Walk) is a dance piece interested in exploring the mutual possibilites of dance, fashion and modern clothing design.
It is inspired by the characteristics and rhythm of the fashion shows and the fashion aesthetics. The upcycled costume design and it's materials has been influencing the choreographic work from the beginning challenging the ordinary ways to feature costume design in dance works. The outfits designed by Angel Emmanuel for the piece are made from recycled materials. Their textiles, weight, thickness and size add their own dimension to the dancers' movement.
Following an accelerating energy the work invites the audience to reflect on the multidimensional topic.
3,2,1 (The Walk) premiered as part of Amos Rex´ s Generation 23 exhibition in May, 2023.

ILONA, 2023
ILONA is a character exploring It´ s own identity trough internet-realities. Starting it´s life from the Instagram-platform it reaches out, finally expanding to real life adjusting itself to be seen live.
The solo work is divided into two. The first part is a visual research including 14 Instagram length videos. Following the character development and made by using the dance-a-day method the research material can be found on Instagram @ilonawho. In the live part the audience witnesses ILONA outside the cyber reality. Who is it and how does it act in the real world of humans?
The live performance uses the movement material from the visual research and acts as an extension of it. The audience is invited to explore the differences of witnessing dance in a social media platform versus in the present moment.
ILONA was premiered in April 2023 in Helsinki and it was Iiris´ artistic thesis from The Theatre Academy.
