Iiris Puustinen (b.2000) is Finnish freelance dance artist and performer based in Helsinki and Copenhagen.She graduated with a BFA in dance from The Theatre Academy of The University of The Arts Helsinki in 2023, having completed part of the studies at The Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen.

Using the body as a medium she researches social and psychological phenomena,
identity, gaze and draws inspiration from popular culture. Iiris’ practise exploits complex choreographed movement material and improvisation in parallel. Her movement language draws on contemporary dance techniques as well as jazz and western commercial dance.


Iiris was one of the artists featured in Generation 23-exhibition at the Amos Rex Museum. Her debut choreographies has been presented at Césure in Paris and at the Amos Rex Museum in Helsinki.

In the recent years Iiris has worked with choreographers and dance companies such as Ima Iduozee (FI), Svalholm (DK), Klevis Elmazaj (NL), The Nordic Beasts (DK) and performed in productions such as Savoy Theater’s West Side Story and Finnish National Opera’s Don Giovanni and The Ostrobothnians.
She has performed with Finland’s leading artists such as Isac Elliot, Mikael Gabriel, Evelina, Krista Siegfrieds and Jonna Geagea in arenas and on TV.
